MAD Awards terms & privacy notice

How nominations for the MAD Awards 2027 work, how entries are judged, and how we use the information you submit.

Last updated October 2026

Eligibility

Nominations are open to individuals, teams and organisations. You may nominate your own work or the work of others. Each nomination covers one award category; submit separately for each additional category.

The work should have been created, launched or active during 2026. Animaker may ask for more information to confirm eligibility.

Nominations

Nominations must be submitted through the official MAD Awards form before the closing date published on the awards page. Late or incomplete nominations may not be considered.

By submitting, you confirm that the information is accurate, that you have the authority to submit the nomination and share the supporting materials, and that the submission does not knowingly infringe anyone else’s intellectual property or confidentiality rights.

Judging

Entries are reviewed by a jury against the criteria published on the awards page. The jury’s decisions are final. Submitting a nomination does not guarantee shortlisting or an award.

Finalists will be contacted using the details provided in the nomination.

Privacy notice

Animaker uses the information in your nomination (contact details, details of the work and supporting materials) only to administer the nomination and judging process: to review entries, contact you about your nomination, and run the awards at MAD.

Your information is shared only with the people involved in running and judging the awards. We keep it for as long as needed for the MAD Awards and related records, and then delete it.

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or withdraw a nomination, by writing to mad@animaker.com. For more about how Animaker handles personal data, see the Animaker Privacy Policy at animaker.com/privacy-policy.

Publicity

Any public announcement or promotional use of a nominee’s name, project details or submitted materials, for example announcing finalists and winners or featuring work in MAD and Animaker communications, follows these terms and any permissions given. We will contact finalists before featuring their work publicly.

Questions

For questions about the MAD Awards, write to mad@animaker.com. Animaker may update these terms; the version on this page applies.
